Go Skateboarding Day Lomography Project…

Posted in NewspostVideo on 16 June 2012 by matlloyd

Last weekend some of the crew met to film & shoot for a Go Skateboarding Day Lomography project. The lovely Hannah from Neon stash is putting together a number of articles that will represent the different sides of skateboarding and will be featured on the Lomography Blog. All the articles will feature images and video shot on Lomo Cameras using 35mm film.

‘From the urban skaters up at sunrise to get the first roll in the bowl, to the enthusiastic but fearful beginners taking pleasure in progression no matter how small. From the pro-skater who calls it their job, to the skate park employee whose day job it is. Those who always see their surroundings with a deck beneath their feet or view the city landscape as an urban playground. The passionate who fought for the skate park in their local area or who are fighting now to keep them there. The DIY mini ramps built in back gardens, rooftops and basements. It’s on your doorstep, it’s always open and is open to all.

Follow it and all of these skate stories in celebration of ‘Go Skateboard Day’, June 21st, to find out why all these people Go Skateboard! And why you should too…’
